Who needs a nest first, the chicken or the egg?
With a surface area of 5.500m2, Westerhuis is devoted to the creative industry of Amsterdam and has grown into a cultural platform. The majority of the spaces have been leased to a mixture of art- and design-studios, architects and art-galleries amongst others. In addition, part of the building hosts the studio of Marcel Wanders, Moooi gallery and an international exhibition place. As a unique top level center for art and culture, the Westerhuis is considered a great impulse for the creative industry to Amsterdam.
